Car Insurance Help for my Bimmer?
Hello,
I am a 18 year old male that lives in Toronto Ontario.
I have a G2 license, and have been driving a truck for my job doing construction.
So i finally got enough money together to buy my own car, a 1991 BMW M5 (amazing car!)
My problem is that i only drive this car in the summer (approximately 4 or less months per year) The other 8 months it is in a garage under a cover.
Is there any way to insure it as a summer car for only 4 months without having to constantly renew and cancel a policy? If so, which company is good?
I would appreciate any help, but no criticism please, I worked hard to purchase the car, and i know that the M5 is a rare car that needs constant attention – i did a co-op with bmw last year and have the tools and knowledge to maintain this car.
Thanks
Simply buy insurance for the car and when you garage it for the winter, call your insurance company and take off all but the comprehensive coverage. Then in the spring call them again and reinstate full coverage. It is the only way I know of
